1. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication 2. It works by bringing information to you without actually going to your website. 3. The two benefits to using one is that it brings you information quicker, and the reader gets timely updates on a regular basis in one spot 4. RSS feeds bring the information straight to your website without going to your website, a feed reader has a stripped down, though configurable, three-pane interface similar to Net News Wire on Mac OS X, and an aggregator is a Web-based or installed application that aggregates related, frequently updated content from various Internet sources and consolidates it in one place for viewing 5. An RSS feed is a Google reader product. 6. The user subscribes to a feed by entering the reader’s feeds URL or by clicking an RSS icon in a web browser that initiates the subscription process 7. It costs nothing
